Thread: hard times in Mississippi

Apparently things are tough even at the capital

Got a dun in the mail other day saying I didn't pay my state income taxes
in, '05 I think it was... Please cough it up now, oh - and with the penalties
and interest it is now about three times the original amount. News to me,
but anyway my first thought was "And you waited FOUR years?"

Anyway, a quick inside-out turn of the filing cabinet brought up a cancelled
check, paid in full, on time. Not that I'm the suspicious type or anything
but my second thought was "I wonder how many people will just
up and pay it twice without questioning it?" Third was "Are they counting
on that, a way to make some extra money, or was this an honest mistake?"

Well, had a chance to ask a CPA today, and wouldn't you know, a rash of
this is going on, some of it going back to '99. CROOKS!

You can't trust washing your hands 3 or 4 times after picking hot peppers and then scratching either....happened today....and as DD knows...it will set you free.

State tax comm is doing a audit on me right now. Wanted last years bank statements , deposit slips and etc.. After 2 weeks they didnt find anything so now they want 2007 stuff. I guess if they dont find anything there they will be wantin to keep goin back till they do...

I guess they're looking for money anywhere they can find it. Probably the one who finds the most delinquent taxes gets to keep his job. Wouldn't want to be working for the State about now!!!!!!!

Jeff they found out how much you have been fishing. HEHE So looking to make sure your not making $1,487,921.00 fishing that your not telling about..
Just like the giver-ment.. Thinking we make $$$ fishing when were spending everything on Fishing...

We ought to be getting a rebate for what we put into the economy with our fishing habit.
