Yep, nothing major. I have seen Grenada Lake frozen over completely though, nothing but a hole by the spillway house where the current was.

What year was it froze over Rees????

I can't remember, around 1990, so many crappie went out the spillway that we were standing shoulder to shoulder from the wing wall all the way to the bend in the river on both sides snagging. Biggest crappie I have ever seen came out of the spillway that winter. People standing behind you waiting to take your spot if you moved, it was crazy. You could hardly make a cast without snagging one.

It was in 1989 Christmas week, I remember I was 11 years old then. Talked to a guy last year he was telling me the same year Sardis lower lake was froze so solid the fish were in a stupor and floating just below the ice where you could see them. Folks was busting holes in the ice and pulling them out and loading them into 5 gallon buckets one after another.
