    Default Rez flooding

I have caught fish at the welfare in Fall and Spring when we get a flood but don't remember this much rain in the Summer. Reckon they will be there getting out of current of mostly in the old deep lakes tucked in behind stumps? Gonna give it a try Wed or Thursday.

I think everything is flooding right now in Mississippi. Most rain I have seen in a long time if ever for this time of year. Going to have to give the my reservoir a try soon. I am starting to have (Crappie addict going cold turkey) withdrawal symptoms from not getting to fish from all the rain. Muddy water get out the black/chartreuse colors to start with?????
Be safe and good luck fishing

I don't know about the welfare hole but I heard some good things were happening in long lake. Granted, I haven't caught a fish in there yet this year.

WELL THE FISH AREN'T IN THE WELFARE HOLE . YOU CAN CATCH SOME THERE BUT IT IS TOUGH . I CAUGHT 12 . I AM HOME NOW . CAUGHT 4 IN THE HOLE AND THE REST DOWN THE LAKE . WIND CALMED DOWN AND I WAS CATCHING A FEW BUT I HAD ENOUGH . CAUGHT ONE 16 " FISH . RIGHT NOW YOU CAN FISH LIKE NORMAL . THE WATER IS MUDDY . NOT MUCH CURRENT IN THE LAKE ITSELF . SO GO GET THEM .

It was very windy early, and started to calm down about mid day, but the sun came out... Had the area down by the dam all to myself, and enjoyed catching some nice cats!

The wife asked me to go with her and the kids to a birthday party at pump it up so I did under the agreement I could run over to the spillway and see what was going on. Can you believe not a single crappie fisherman was behind the spillway!?!?! I saw a bunch of catfish caught. I really believe a fella could catch some crappie in that eddie water but i must be wrong cause if they were there surely a boat would be.
