    Default Helix 5

I have been thinking about buying another mounting kit and transducer so I can move my helix 5 to front or back of the boat . Has anyone done this ?

I've never done it, but don't see why you couldn't. What type of Helix SI or DI? Why I ask, I never had any luck with my SI mounted on the TM, may have to get one of them ducer brackets from po' dunk.

I mainly fish marked structure on a hand held so I put a lesser unit on the bow . Its main use is to keep from running aground . That being said neither is really high end (lowrance elite5 hdi and elite 3 . I fish the same 88 sites on Enid , the same 54 on Sardis and the same 18 on Tippah . lol After many years I can find most in the dark .Spider rigging I follow contour lines .You ride and looking bigger is better . I do all my looking with water drawn down .

All go ahead and spend that money no sense in playing the game halfway. You probably got 1500 worth of equipment already what's another 4 or 5 hundred

By the time you buy another mounting bracket, another transducer, and another power cable etc. you will have spent half of what a DI would cost. just move your SI to back and buy a DI and put on the front. You will be a lot happier in the long run. Best price at BBGMarine

That's what I'm going to do . Really won't save anything moving them around.
