    Anybody heard of the big 4 being retrofitted to make electricity!

    That subject comes up every four our five years....dont think it will ever happen tho.....would not be enough consistant water flow.

    That's what I was thinking. I googled it and it said construction is expected between 2017 and 2018 .

    Only way it happens is they will have to reuse the water by pumping it back into the lake, with the carp situation the way it is I doubt very seriously this happens. There are several lakes set up this way across the country.

    Or they would have to raise the seasonal rule curve. Hydro Electric lake would take a much higher water level than a flood control lake.

    Not gonna happen, in a flood situation that water still has to be taken care of, don't think Trump can get the curve changed.

    Saw info on this a while back and posted about it. It's a pipe dream of some pencil pusher that will never become a reality. Not practical at all. They should've used hydro electric dams when they impounded the Ten Tom, that could've actually been possible.

    I don't think the dam will hold water deep enough to apply enough pressure to turn the turbines. Most hydro dams hold 3-400 feet of water or more.
