I have the food saver bronze. First it was on sale, it has external hook up for the vacume canisters, takes both large and small bag rolls, has various settings for dry goods and meats. It has done a real good job for me so far. Had it a couple of years.

Been using one for about 5 years. Dry filets between 2 paper towels, throw in bag, shrink, and put in freezer. I put them up in
milk cartons, zip lock bags, with water covering them all my life. I can't tell a bit of difference and if I decide I want some
for supper, it only takes about an hour for them to thaw. That being said, I eat all my fish within a year and start fresh in
the spring. I don't know about keeping them for a couple of years. Don't know how it would compare. Just don't know. It doesn't
work on shrimp. The spine on the tail will puncture about half the bags.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

We have had this Foodsaver for 2 years, and no regrets. Makes the trips to Mississippi with us. No regrets with this unit. Can use moist or dry, marinades, and different roll widths. Even I can use it!!!Which

Won't buy another Food Saver, they're garbage and you can't get replacement sealers
according to them. Bought a Cabelas about 3 years ago and am somewhat satisfied with
the results. Learned to flash freeze the fillets first and then vacuum pack, otherwise we
lose bags because of moisture. Good luck John!
