If you've ever been to a massive pig or poultry farm operation or even a meat processing plant for companies like Tyson or Sanderson Farms you will come to understand a little about cruelty. I grew up on a small farm where we raised everything we ate. Chickens, beef, and pork "from snooter to pooter" nothing was wasted. The leftover stalks, peelings, and hulls from the vegetable garden were used as a feed supplement for these animals. At an early age a kid quickly learned to take care of the critters that were gonna eventually end up on his plate. He learned about the circle of life, how God put creatures on earth to serve and nourish mankind. He learned about the, maybe not so pleasant, but necessary, duties performed on a farm and required to put food on the table. I know not many folks these days have the experiences of small farm living. As people grow more and more detached from these things they seem to grow less and less tolerant of those who still prefer to do their own hands-on raising and butchering. Call me cruel if you like, but I for one would much prefer to know how my meat was raised and treated.
That's as Well Said as it gets!!!!!!!
