Default Them Darned Bees Can Get You Hurt

Yesterday afternoon we got a call that a fella was being brought into town due to being attacked by bees. When his Wife got him to the Fire Station we picked several stingers out of him and sent him on his way to the Hospital to be checked out. He advised that they chased him over a half mile and were still attacking his horses. We loaded up the bee suits and headed out to his place. When we got there, we got one horse out. One had about given up. I got a rope and led it out and got it away. Went back for the third one and I got the rope on him and was leading him out. The darned thing just stoped like an old mule would. The Sherrif was behind him in his truck and decided to kind of bump him a bit. Well when he did, that darned horse kicked his truck, then kicked me in the right calf knocking me down and then stepped on my left foot but my boot heel took most of the weight. I got up and finished getting rid of the bees and collected some to send off. Then went to the hospital for xrays of my right calf since it looked like some of the biggest body builders lol. Doctor came back and said that it wasnt broke but I had one of the deepest bruises he had seen. He said you could even see it on the xrays. Darned bees can wind up getting you hurt even in a bee suit hehe. Now im sitting here typing with my leg propped up and wrapped and an ice pack on it and WOW if I had calf muscles that looked like this I would leg wrestle anyone hehe.

Fish slime used as a salve is the only solution. Fresh only, used won't work. Must also be followed up by large prescription of fresh fish, taken internally. Several work better, take in all you can. Follow immediately with nap. Repeat.

Sounds like you were pretty lucky. Remember it'll feel better after it quits hurtin.....
