The major networks devote very little time to business and economics. Fox Business Channel and CNBC get much more in depth. The Wall Street Journal is a great paper, and there's lots of stuff on the internet.

Slipped Cork, Check out Agriculture, Refined Fuels, Commodity Trading & Weather Information from DTN . This is where I get all my news on commodities. My broker also gets an inside track through MF Global. They have their own private research firm to help their clients make marketing decisions. DTN has a section in their service dedicated to crude oil and all major fuels. CF

So, if I have a product that every person needs and I want to make more money I just quit making that product and the price will go up...DUHHH...The control the price by controling inventory. Not the markets. Why can you not see that. Anyone behind big oil either works for them or DERIVES a portion of their income. I have found 2 people in support of Big Oil and I'm wondering if they arn't just fools who talk to themselves in the bathroom.

Because I've studied economics, so I actually know what I'm talking about.

BTW, I don't support "Big Oil". I support free enterprise.

You cannot control the price of oil by simply not using it. Oil used as a basic starting material for virtually everything we consume not just gasoline! The reduced demand just means OPEC will produce LESS to keep the oil price where ever they want it. Too high and they drive the world into recession/ depression. They don’t want that either because consumption will drop. Too low and their profits drop — so they cut back. The point is the WANT CONTROL. That’s their bargaining chip. This maintains their global political control since by shutting off oil flow they can in effect successfully hold the world hostage as world ecomomies fall into recession or worse. Russia has now joined as a major oil producer. They look at us as fools for not developing our energy sources right here at home !! They WILL take advantage of our stupidity.

I LOVE THIS ONE...YEP Regular Supply and Demand at work...LOL...I wonder if CrappieFarmer and DB4D voted for Bush.

I asked you before DB4D, you don't have any oil related clients? Do you think the Easter Bunny, Casper the Ghost and Santa Claus are real? How about this one...Do you think the war in Iraq was won by YOUR president oh about 3.5 years ago. I BET $500 you think the carriers at Pearl Harbor just happened to be out that day ALL ALONE WITH NO ESCORTS just testing their motors...I wonder if you think JFK was killed with a single bullet. I wonder what you think of our LUNAR landing in 1969...Before we even had color TV....I wonder if you believe everything in those textbooks about Economics written by some guy who lives on Fantasy Island...DE PLANE BOSS DE PLANE!!!!

I knew this didn't sound like you. It made too much sense, and there weren't enough words in ALL CAPS. You just copied and pasted from that other site. You do realize the name of that site is "Zardozz News and Satire", don't you? What a joke!

Of course I voted for Bush! And if my choice was Obama or Bush, I'd vote for Bush again -- in a heartbeat!

I hope Jim Manz is getting a kick out of this. That's the only reason I post here, you know -- to entertain Jim.
