Default 08/08/08 ????

Whats all the hooplah about 888? I saw this on the news this morning, some think it's a lucky day, others believe in the coming of Christ, the Olympics start at exactly 8:08:08 pm on 08/08/08, 888 in Greek=Christ, lucky number in Chinese culture. I youtubed it and googled it. Dozens of theories on this. How'd we miss all this coming, whats going on here? Whats you opinion?

I'm still living in my Y2K shelter underground, so I didn't notice.

Really, I dunno. I heard them make mention of it this morning on the
news, but it just seemed like they liked the novelty of it, didn't really
give any reason for it being special.

I do get excited when the odometer in a vehicle rolls over to all the
same number though
And it was better when odometers rolled - the digital ones like in my
Dodge just ain't the same.

Hey Jeff, remember how it was when the odometer only went to 99,999 miles then rolled over to all zeros again? We would get all excited about having a new truck when that happened. I remember having 1 truck that I saw roll over twice.

8-8-8 is also a grade of fertilizer....so what?

I don't put any stock into the number stuff. Every number or combination of numbers is destined to come up at some point just because it exists.
