In my younger days, I would say no way I'm still putting the hammer down, but now that I have a family the cruise would get set between 57 and 59. The state won't be the only one making money from speeding tickets. More tickets=Higher insurance premiums=more commissions for agents

. A lot of our roads and bridges are in tough shape, if the extra money went back to improving roads and bridges there's another reason I would be in favor of a 55 mpg limit. I think there could be multiple positives from lowing the speed limit other than saving oil. I haven't done much reading on this so the question I have is how much difference would changing the speed limit really have on oil consumption/the economy and would that be enough to justify the change?
