    Default Rubber coating

I have seen something on here before about making rodholders & dipping them in some kind of rubber coating, Does anyone know what this is & where to find it?

I know our local Wally World carries that spray on electrical tape stuff... not sure if it would be thick enough though.

Yup, I've used that stuff before. You could also get a rattle can of that spray bed liner at Wal Mart and use it.

I used the Plasti Dip on mine. You can buy it at Lowes in the paint department. The can was just big enough for my holders to fit in. It keeps the holders from scratching your rods and they grip the rods better. Well worth doing.

Thanks that Plastidip seems to be what I was looking for. I'll have to go to Lowes & check it out. Anyone remember what it cost? I looked up Liquid Roof like they use on RVs & mobile homes, it was $60-$80 a gallon! Not in my price range.

Oh LORD no. A can is about 9 bucks. Not a big can mind you, about a pint, but more than you'll need. It does set up in the can after a while however, even if you keep the lid on.
