Give some details about your computer.
What operating system, what speed processor, how much ram, how much free space on your hard drive.
A good starting point for most problems is to:
delete all temp files and cookies
run a spy ware detecting program
run scan disk and then defrag
what software program are you using to burn your pics to DVD/CD with ?Originally Posted by iluvspx
have you formatted your disc (CD/DVD) ?
what kind of CD/DVD drive do you have ?
what kind of file is your pics (jpeg, mpeg, wav)
Are you wanting to put them on a disc to "save" them, or distribute them ?
Do you have a CD burner, or a DVD burner ... and are you sure you have the proper type of disc to use with it ?
Some of these links may give you some insight into what your error message is about : http://www.google.com/search?q=Windo...e7&rlz=1I7DKUS
I'm a computer dummy, myself, so I don't know if any/all of my questions are pertinent to the problem. I have a DVD RW+/- on my computer ... but only use it to "play", not "record". I store my pictures on Photobucket, for safe keeping & to display them on website posts.
There are several computer guru members here, but you might have to wait until they see this thread.

Actually, Crappiepappy asked all the right questions.
Most PC's that come out of the box with a burner have at least a basic version of some type of burning software (Roxio, Nero, etc).
DVD drives don't all have the ability to burn DVD's. Some only read(play) them, others only read DVD, but will record CD's. Usually on the front of the drive you'll see something along the lines of "CD-R" or DVD +RW or DVD -RW or DVD +/-RW on it. This will tell you what kind of burner you have.
Answers to the questions that CP put out there will give us some ideas on what you need to do to do what you want to do.

hmmm.
Just forget what I said and wait on the experts.
Try using audio cd's. I tried using a DVD disk yesterday and it gave me the same run around, but when i put in an audio it copied right on

I want to thank all the folks who threw advice my way. I think the problem was the wrong kind of media. For whatever reason, I got it to work on a CD, but not a DVD. I'm not good with this stuff, but I'm learning. I know this burner will burn DVD's because my dad used to make movies and put them on DVD. I just can't figure it out. Something to do with the burning program. Maybe i'll figure it out, but again thanks for the help all.
