I began watching boxing with my father back in the '50's and '60's on the Gillette Friday night fights.The great boxers from that era were Sugar Ray Roberson, Rocky Marciano, Floyd Patterson, Sonny Liston, up and coming Muhammad Ali who took the title from Liston in a shocker, Archie Moore, Carmine Basilio and many more. It's hard not to name George Foreman as the greatest. I think that gambling interest and pay per view killed the boxing sport.
