Super Bowl surprise

Well! I have not watched an NFL game this year, other than a snippet here and there. However, two of my favorite players from my Alma Mater, South Carolina are going head to head tonight so I have to watch. Alison Jeffery and Stephon Gilmore, 5 star high school recruits decided to stay home and play for SC.
I turned in about half way through the National Anthem and every player they showed had hand over heart or head bowed. They had 16 Medal of Honor recipients on the field and one was honorary captain and did the coin toss.
Maybe the NFL has finally realized which side of the bread is buttered. We'll see, but for one game at least. I will watch two of our local super stars, who incidentally are good friends, go head to head tonight.

Have only watched one game this year, and it was because I had already bought the tickets before the season started. I am going to continue my protest tonight as well.

I was the same way, great national anthem with everybody standing so watching my first NFL game this season. It one had kneeled I would have changed the channel.

Unfortunately that's true for about any profession. It is a serious indictment of our values as a country when the military, our teachers, and our police force are among the lowest paid of any profession.

I wish the stadium was full of veterans and family members of veterans who paid the ultimate price for freedom. It would thrill me to no end for the arrogant, elitist atheletes to see the stadium empty right after the National Anthem. I would also love to see a jersey burning party. I bet most of the guys on CDC have a more impressive resume than the NFL. What are they gonna put on it besides they can run fast and catch a ball. They make me SICK.
