    I was getting desperate. I did some research, and I found this-

    I hear ya! I've got the exact same problem and situation. We get mice in our garage every fall. But I've got one in my walls now and it's slick! Defeats all my traps no matter how well they're tuned.

    THAT is the NEATEST mouse trap I ever saw ! And just about FOOL PROOF ! (Plus no mashed finger tips...OUCH !!!)

    I LOVE this contraption! I didn't get any last night(1st night). I'm thinking the d-con got the last one. But I'm tired of d-con, traps, constant rebaiting and setting etc. And you can't beat the price!!

    Use a 55gal drum and fill 1/3 full, lay peanuts on the board and drop some in it. Barrel full of dead fuzzy tailed tree rats.
