    Default TurboTax

Does anyone use this to file their taxes? If so, Being that you bought their software, does it cost you extra to file your taxes through them. And, do you get free upgrades from year to year?

I just used TurboTax online (www.turbotax.com

) for the second year in a row, and it cost about $45 to e-file both state and federal.

    I think I got one...

I've been using it for several years. Symantec sends it to me automatically each year ($39.95). I have to pay for the filing but they refund the federal costs. It is very thorough and simple to use. For instance, when I loaded it this year, it automatically checks for updates then asks you if you want to import the pertinent info from last years returns. Then you just go thru it and answer the questions.

I have buying it for years for my children (all grown, married, and working) to use to file and I also use it for my Mother's return...I still have mine done by an accounting firm. They love it...can have their returns done in no time...an hour or 2, file it electronically, and have the refunds directly deposited into their bank accounts. The program is very intuitive and thorough, and interviews you on anything and everything. Unless you have a complicated return, then I think it is very good.

Only one return is availible to file and get the cost of filing rebated...the others cost about $30.00 to file both (total). The software will cost about $35 or $40 and you get a free download for one state. You have to buy it every year, not free updates.

Well worth it for my family's families.
