Saw on the news tonight where they are planning on charging for email. I thought that was one of the benefits of paying for internet. It's kinda like having a phone and being charged for local calls. How stupid.
somebody is always trying to figure a way to make an easy buck - there like drug dealers - they get us hooked on it and then think we cannot live without it so they will get us how ever they can
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!
i recently tried to register on an R/C truck forum (the manufacturer's forums). and i was notified that in order to be a member of the forum that i had to have a "paid" email address. my 1st thought was...what a nice way of turning people off to their products. needless to say, i wont be a member of that forum. and it really rubbed me the wrong way and probably wont buy the R/C truck that i was looking at.
What I heard was they were going to start charging people for spaming e-mails and sites.? Not sure if it is the same thing? Ron
i heard what mtm heard....they are thinking of charging spammers one penny a e-mail.....the way some spammers put out e-mails that should about bankrupt them.....
This rumor has been floating around the web for at least two years..go to snopes.com and check it out, nothing to it.
What they mean is that you can't sign up with hotmail, yahoo or gmail etc., because those addresses are used heavily by spammers.Originally Posted by cody
I was reading about it in the business section of the paper. It's an effort to separate the legitimate businesses from the spammers, "phishers'" and other scam artists. I can't tell you how many emails I get from "Pay Pal"except that I don't do any purchasing over the internet and don't have an account with Pay Pal. If you open it, it looks legit, but they're just trying to get your personal info for identity theft.
The ISPs won't charge us,; they intend to charge the mass mailers. Fine by me. - Roberta
