After talking in the chat room tonight, and watching a college b-ball game on ESPN, we realized that there could be good debate had about the NCAA conferences. Let's keep it clean and have fun.
I'm talking all around major sports....football, mens/women b-ball, baseball, and volleyball. Not everyone has hockey, golf, tennis, fencing or tiddly winks.
I for one am a native Missourian and now live in TX. Big 12 states for the most part. So you can see where I stand.
Be nice!!!!!!!!!!!
Take the poll, then make your stand in a post. Have fun with this....smedley

Reason: change Title
If you want to take all the sports combined you made a wise choice and kept your comparison to the sec - both these leagues are in the minors compared to the Atlantic Coast Conference

I would say the SEC tops every other conference on a long term basis. LSU has dominated baseball off and on. The SEC usually always sends more teams to bowl games in football than any other league, and has won numerous national titles. Tennessee womens basketball has been the top program for I dont know how long. Gymnastics is usually dominated by the SEC. There really is not a comparison between the SEC and any other conference. the SEC stands alone at the top.
My vote goes to SEC, year in year out they put more teams in the top 20 than any other conference in football, and hold there own in basketball. i know the big 12 "Texas" won the national championship, but they were really the only top 10 ten in the big 12 this year. And Arkansas has won more ncaa track championships than you can count. So top to bottom, I say SEC with Big 12 close behind.
