Default Need some new Super Sunday snack ideas

If ya have a favorite food item why not post it here? I am getting tired of a few of the things we have year after year. Here's my favorite-

Allow a stick of cream cheese to soften to room temp and spread it around the outer 4-5" of a plate. Take one of them tuna-size cans of baby shrimp
(drain if need) and press them into the cream cheese. Top it off by spreading the contents of a small jar of shrimp cocktail (in the red sauce) on top. Pile
center of plate w crackers and have a plastic knife handy.

Check out Jerry Blakes recipies on his website. Theres one that makes great use of trash fish like striper, whitebass, ect. You just cut it in cubes and marinate in italian dressing then wrap in bacon and broil.

Trust the fat boy on this one.

Chicken wings are a must. A good cheese ball. Oysters possibly. And a couple of Bud Lights.

    Gotta have the wings :D
These are a close second for me:

    SKILLET NACHOS

    INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground beef; 1 medium onion, chopped; 2 cups Pace picante sauce; 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, rinsed and drained; 1 teaspoon chili powder; 1 large tomato, chopped; 1 large avocado, seeded and diced; 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese; 1/2 to 1 cup sour cream; tortilla chips

    DIRECTIONS
In 12 inch skillet, brown meat with onion; drain. Add picante sauce, beans and chili powder; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Stir in tomato and avocado; remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese. Serve with sour cream and chips. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Went to the Import Store and got some Roasted Chippola (? think that's how you spell it) sauce. You pour this over a block of Philadelphia Cream Cheese and snack on it with your favorite crakers. It goes good with cold beer.
I will get the correct spelling of the sauce and re-post.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

We make something similar but simple. One lb. browned ground beef, 2 cans Campbells Cheddar Cheese soup & 1 large jar Pace Picante Sauce, hot, medium, or mild, whichever you prefer. Put it all in a crockpot & let it simmer. Serve with tortilla chips or it is also good on hotdogs.

    >> Roasted Chippola (? think that's how you spell it) sauce<<

Ya mean Chipotle ? That's my husband's favorite chile pepper.

Haven't decided what the two of us will eat this Sunday. Probably something that goes with a good dry martini.
The Buffalo wings area definite maybe, but since we're Steelers fans, I may have to go with a good Polish sausage split and fried on a griddle with onions and bell pepper or a bratwurst with kraut on a bun and a cold beer . - Roberta

    marinate it over night
any type of meat wheather you like chicken or beef
mix a beer - zesty Italian dressing - fajita seasoning - lemon pepper - Texas Pete - parsley - crushed red pepper

put in on the grill and cook to desired temp
    grill some onions and peppers
    fix a little guacamole
    sour creme
    cheese
    on a flour tortillia
    mmm-mmmm
make you want to smack yo mama becuase she did not fix for you when you was little

and just a side note Texas Pete - a very good hot sauce - made in Winston-Salem, NC not in Texas - In my opinion the best hot sauce - it is not that hot but has an excellent flavor - real similar to Frank's or Louisiana Hot Sauce
all which I think puts Tobasco to shame
again that is just my opinion
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!
