Green
White or clear
floaters
I know this controversial but I will open this can of worms as it brings up an argument on our state boards - what color lights do you use during a nightstalk - I also wonder if there has been a national study done on how many crappie are caught under the same conditions under the green vs the white or vise versa - if we spend millions on cow poots surely we can spend a little on what color of fishing lights works the best - of course I try to be politicly correct and use both colors and place the green on the left and the white on the right - maybe that has been my problem that I am associating the the wrong color to the wrong party - one with the fishing party and one with the beer drinking party - I know green goes well at our christmas party - oops I said christmas - well white goes with any kind of party but it has to be after April and never after September - don't want to offend the fashion conscious out there - well let me know what you think

but when I do I use a car headlight built in a piece of foam. It always worked for us. I wonder how those blue tinted ones would work in clear water?
Excellent post CK:D

floating vs. submersible is a whole different topic - lets not confuse the issue - though could be as important to national security

I have experimented with a headlight, and florecent tubes from Cabbellas. The cabbellas tube were total JUNK.The head lite seems to draw the fish only not as close to the boat....say in 13 foot of water, they will after a hour, be stacking up ON THE BOTTOM. Now the Green tube would draw them and they were not as scared. I had Big Gar, and CRAPPIE swim up to the boat. I feel the 2 diff colors did effect them differently.I FEEL THE GREEN HAD THE EDGE, but ill have to find a good one first.I am going to get one of those new Blue headlites and try it this year.I will see if WHITE, HALEGON, OR THE BLUE WORKS BETTER.

Hey crap king, great post!! I am still laughing!!
I have used both and I don't notice a big difference. Maybe the problem is I aint holding my mouth right!! LOL!! I use whatever I have available at the time. I also hang two lanterns out when night fishing.
