Default Vote to have political issues banned

I know that I for one am sick and tired of reading about everyones beliefs concerning politics. No one is going to sway anyone into changing their minds about anything.

So, in light of this, I propose a vote by the Members of Crappie.com to ban all political threads in the future. There are plenty of websites that one can visit to debate politics.

I vote yes on a ban.

This is not censorship, nothing more than a democratic vote amoung the members.

This is the Off Topic Board - it was intended for members to air out things not related to crappie fishing - it is not the difference of opinions that is the problem - it is the personal attacks towards members that have different opinions - I try to catchem and delete them - I may miss some - when the topic had so many personal statements I deleted the entire thread - I will continue to monitor these things - people need to refrain from referrring to the word "you" as well - I do not care what you say about the president the past president or any other political figure - just do not refer to induviduals or groups of people that are members of crappie.com
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!

Default Now that was funny CR

If I may ask why you didn't mention religion to be banned as well?

How about anyone you don't like too?:D

Have you got a list of other subjects you don't want on this board as well?

    Crap-King is once again correct.

CR....I can talk about crappie fishing 24/7 so post something you'd like to talk about and lets rumble.

Lets not forget that some state's hunting and fishing seasons and rules are set by politicians and SHOULD be debated when the time is warranted. By banning politcal threads, we may in fact, be shooting ourselves in the feets.
I've been reading the threads and posts from both sides in this forum just about every day. For the most part, I can tell it comes from the heart and all of you are very passionate in what you believe.
But I have come to the conclusion that as long as wealthy lawyers keep getting elected to the House and Senate on both sides of the aisle, Big Business will rule our lives and there is nothing we can do about it.
Sorry for 'fatalist' attitude, but that's how I see it right now.

    Default So don't read them

I admit that I haven't been keeping up on all the political discussions, but if the topic offends you, the solution is simple - don't read them.

King George - both the monarch who ruled here in 1776 and the current pretender to the throne had/have a problem with free speech. We should embrace every opportunity to discuss what is right or wrong with our government and thankfully, Ed has provided us a forum for it. - Roberta

    Default Issues

I have to agree with Roberta in that if you get tired of them, then just don't read the garbage. I quit reading them cause no one on here is going to change the way I think or vote no matter what they post. Even though I don't see the need for it, as long as there are no personal attacks like CK said, this is an off topic forum and open for any public ideas and views. I do agree with you in that this is a crappie fishing site, but there are those here that hold politics more valuble than fishing. Better here than on the main forum or the individual state sites.

To settle all this political unrest I will be running for the highest office in the country whenever next election is on the Independent ticket. Top issues on
my platform will be getting all the conehead bicyclists off our highways, reform of marijuana laws, and introduction of a bill which will make it legal to
keep any crappie deemed mortally injured, regardless of size.
    Thank you for your support.
