Jerry I try and stay away from the off topic forum as the topic is always on politics but saw your name and had to check it out. Interesting article. Guess its like when your buddy is catching fish on jigs and you keep on fishing with minners

I had not seen that article Jerry but it is what I have thought for years. It is also why I changed professions in 1982. I have a masters degree in Political Scienceand was doing analysis for an elected board. I could not understand how two sides could come to such different decisions from the same set of facts. I had no political agenda, and still don't. The meaningful actions that were taken generally had no basis in fact but rather were based on some political pressure or political promise made when runing for office. My mind is warped another way, so I started my own business.

Yea, it also explains why it is pointless to argue and attempt to present facts to those with opposing views. Political (or religious for that matter) stance for most folks is based on emotion and not facts.
