Question Just wondering

Is there anybody besides me who prefers day-old coffee over fresh?
I stopped in here and found half a pot my partners had left from yesterday
morning, a little nuke, and man, is it good! Just like chili, better the second
time around Gets a whole new dimension to it, kind of a "smokey" flavor.

I agree totally about the chili. One to three days after it's made and it's twice as good. Not sure 'bout the coffee though, cause we always finished the pot when we made it or called someone over and told them we had a pot going. Never made it to the second day.

I like day old coffee too. My ol lady makes a big pot and then wimps out there
is always some left. Back in the old days I would drink coffee maybe once every 8-10 days but usually drank whiskey with my whiskey for breakfast. I
would eventually get enough of a grip on myself to first find the home place and then the coffee pot. By that time the decision was what to do with the green & purple floaties so I could get to the coffee. Usually just fed em to the dog. He seemed to like em.

Pour it in a blender with some vanilla icecream and milk and you'll have some great mocha ice cream.

For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin

When I was in the Army, the coffe at the mess hall was good if you were there at "O dark thirty". After that, coffee sitting under constant heat in a big urn loses it's smoothness. I would always stop at the ice cream machine for a good bit of vanilla then fill up the cup with the "tar" that came from the coffee urn. I also used to mix orange juice and grape juice. Looks like a tequila sunrise.

One day I washed my dads coffee pot for him and he about stroked out on me. That thing looked like hell. He said you dont wash a coffee pot, it seasons the coffee. Guess you coffee drinkers new that. I didnt at the time, but I do now. I only have a cup once in a while. Think I'm gonna start carrying me a thermos full on them cold fishing days though.
