There you go again...although a common sense room is a great idea, I'd rather see a place where the older C.Cers can fart without upsetting anyone they way it used to be. I do think you would qualify for membership, so it would have some sort of balance.

Thumbs up There's already a place like that .....FYI

.. it's called the OTC forum

It's about as "members only" as you're going to get, since you have to sign in for it seperate from the rest of the site. That's the only "qualification" necessary, so you would still get some young guns to battle with.

Last time I looked, it seemed pretty "conservative" in there .. with a dash of liberal thrown in for "balance". And the Moderator is pretty lenient, when it comes to content .... I mean, he does allow Political, Religious, & Sexual Preference discussions to take place

Just a thought, but .... if you took all the "hot button topic" discussions over there, and kept them over there ... you'd serve two purposes :

You'd leave this "old, boring" forum to it's jokes & puzzles & other stuff.
You'd gain membership in the OTC, since that's where all the action would be.

    I'm jus' sayin ....

And as for an exclusive, long term member's only forum ... it's already been hashed over, and Ed rejected the idea.

We old folks are being mistreated again... Seniority doesn't count for anything... Pappy, I think you & ED might be afraid of a "Hostile Takeover" of the whole board from us "old timers"....:D:D..I don't think we would get out of hand...

This site is suppose to be about sharing information, or at least that is what I thought it was for. All the ones that want an exclusive room so they can swap spit or what ever, I have never understood. If you don't want to share info then keep it to yourself. I for one surely won't miss it. There are enough other good fishermen that don't mind sharing their knowledge with others just getting into Crappie Fishing. The more people that get into Crappie Fishing the better it is for our particular spieces of Quarry that we love to pursue. The more money that is generated towards Crappie Fishing the better it is and new products that will be invented. Just concider how many new products that have been brought about since Wally Marshall came up with Mr Crappie and pushed for Crappie to be brought out of the Spawn fishing only to fishing for them year round. I will admit I was one of them that only fished for them during the spawn. Just think where our sport would be if Wally had said he didn't want to share information about Crappie fishing with others. I can't imagine how many products have been brought about by his love of the sport of Crappie Fishing. We all owe Wally a debt of graditude for his involvement with bringing our love of Crappie fishing into the 21st Century. If I can help anyone at any time, I am only to happy to do so. Wishing everyone tight lines and full creels on every trip this year. EB

Don't know where you been there EB, but I was catching crappie year round before Wally was born. The sport has just become commercially driven for profit.

I come here to visit with fellers like you. Entertainment. Don't need much help catching fish.

I guess you do though. I am here to help.
