Default Crappiepappy, how about letting us defend ourselves before you lock a thread

If you want to play the defintion game well you said you are a moderator, a moderator is one who arbitrates. I don't believe there was an arbitration, you flat out removed the content because you didn't like it, before either side was able to discuss their indifferences. You also state that this is a members only message board, well last I knew, I was a member and everybody else who keeps getting their stuff edited and deleted they are members too.

I know it may sound like a stupid idea, but I think the members should get to pick the moderators, have some kind of vote. It is getting out of hand with control freaks deleting and editing to suit their own desires and objectives.

Stop whining 66. Beware, certain members become non members quick.

Default My 2 cent

I think the moderator on this board should have the right to move, remove, edit, or lock all post he or she seems that a said post does not follow the rules Ed has drawn up for the board.

In the end the moderator should only have to answer to Ed. The moderators should have rules to follow. Remember Ed owns this Web site and he does not charge us for to use it.

I think "CrappieHead" stated it very well. I do not think the "Crappiepappy" is not doing anything that I would not do on the Illinois board

Let it go crappie66

I'm just glad I didn't click on the, now removed, link while I was showing my children the pretty fish pictures on here!

Thanks Crappiepappy.

Arrow Just to clear up any "misunderstanding" ...

mod·er·a·tor

Definition:

1. somebody in charge of discussion

I was appointed by Ed, to be "in charge" of this forum ... when he says I've crossed the line or overstepped my bounds, then I'll rectify the action taken. And yes, you are a member (as are the others that have had content edited) ... but, that only gives you permission to use the facilities - not dictate how they are run. Moderators have the capacity and responsibility to edit, delete, or lock any post or thread, in accordance with the rules set forth by Ed. How, and how strictly they enforce those rules is up to each of them, on the forums they moderate, as long as the "bottom line" rules are adhered to (as defined by Ed, in the registration rules).
I've answered to all of your other "concerns", as posted on the previous message. Any further discussion or arbitration should be taken up with Ed. ...... cp

Just doing your job CP you don't have to appologize to anyone for that. I for one appreciate your actions. My Grand daughter likes looking at the fish picks on this site and I would be very upset if she found that thread. I try to check out all the threads before I let them look at any of them . Thanks again CP,

Some of us may forget that this is a family site and young people also look at this site. I don't want to have to put a parental lock on this site for my grandkids. If that is what your interested in,then there are plenty of pornagraphic site for you to visit. Just my opinion on the subject.

I think Ed has done a fine job choosing the Mods on this board. Moderator and arbitrator are two different jobs. CP "moderates" very well and gets a "hats off" from me. My young children are always around me when I am on the PC and they don't need to see excessive flesh at their age. Thanks CP!
