Default MinnKota Universal sonar?

Has anyone ever removed theirs? Is it sealed in or will it drop out if I take out those 3 screws? I looking into replacing it with a Lowarance Xducer. I know it won't be an exact fit but want to see what I can do if it isn't sealed in.
