No disrespect intended but all those people did die for nothing. They died for senseless reasons tied to religeous fundamentalists and their wanting to get their crazy point across. To infer that there was some sense or reason to the deaths on 911 is reaching really far. If you want to stop it from happening again then we need our soldiers here at home guarding our borders against those who wish to come here and do any harm to us including economic harm. We have been drawn out and stretched thin. All you war buffs and ex soldiers should know what I mean by this. That is when the real attack comes.

In the entire military history of the world. No entity ever fought a defensive war and won. This is not sports where the idiom says " Offense sells tickets , defense wins championships. " Perfect example of trying to fight an defensive war Germany late 1917 to early 1918 decides to " bleed the Allies white by surrendering the offense and hoping their strong fortifications would exact too terrible a toll for the Allies to continue.


To win any war your will must be imposed on the enemy. After Vietnam the Military promised never to fight another war run by politicians. Obama hand picks McCrsytal then takes months to decide what tact to take upon HIS geneals suggestion. Sorry but this sounds all too familiar.

The somali pirates need to be stopped and our mariners need to know they are protected by our navy. This only happens in one area and we have the resources to stop it but choose to use them elsewhere. Well, I don't care for what or why they hit us but they did and that is all that matters. I don't agree with the nation building, We should just turn them into parking lots and be done with them. If they want to mess with us more, turn them into parking lots again. Make them a non issue. Leaving them now and just pulling out will only bring us another 911 type event or worse. It is almost impossible to guard every hole in our defenses. They will get through. Since We are nation building, We have to finish the job and create a country that will trade with us. I guess that would be good for commerce but at what price? I have always been in favor of setting examples of countries that want to fool with us and just level them and leave them. Isn't that what GW did and look where it got us. Bin laden attacks and then sat back and let our leaders destroy this country within through arregance. How intellegent was it to send our troops into a battlefield without armour.
I believe it was GW and Chenny that didn't listen to their Generals on how to go about fighting over there. The most ridiculous thing was to stand by and allow the people to loot the cities and Museums. It was a crime to have allowed all of the artifacts to be destroyed. There was a tremendous amount of Histories knowledge lost when that happened.
Was that the type of leadership you was talking about?????
I can't imagine President Obama doing any worse than that as far as leadership. EB
