I had a 1993 ford f150 put 303,000.0 miles, 302 V8. hauled a boat, trailer, and trailered cars. had to replace the water pump once, the starter and plugs. Got a 1997 ford f150 4.6 v8 with 189,000 miles . no trouble with it so far.

This is funny There is not a power stroke out there that can hang with a DMax. Everyone I know or have talked to that own the fords do not like them at all. And I know for a fact they can not pull with a DMax.
My vote GMC with DMax / Allison.

My vote GMC with BMax / Allison.
I would have to agree. Ive never owned a deisel personally, but have good friends who have all. From what Ive seen them go through, Chevy has it. Ill give the dodges credit for a more fuel economical diesel, but the trannys in those trucks are junk. I JUST helped pull one out and back in after a rebuild (130,000 miles??? not good). Fords are okay, but seem to have more issues than the D-MAX. And yes they have a few issues here and there too, but dont they all. The Chevy is alot easier to drive than the rest. Easier to park, better turning, etc. . . . .

I would like to add "that Americans should buy American built trucks"...It's all about the working men & women that are supporting their families....

Default diesel trucks

A new diesel truck is coming to U.S. from India in early 2010. The name is Mahindra (the diesel farm tractor people). The price is supposed to be in mid $20,000.00 range amd mileage about 30 mpg. You can Google it for more info.

I've been a chevy man my entire life. The turning radius has always sucked, but the truck felt like it fit me just right compared to Ford or Dodge. However, because of Dodge and GM getting bailed out, and still not getting things right, the next truck I buy will be a Ford. I'll just have to get used to them. I plan to try and make the '09 Chevy last as long as possible, but if one major thing happens to it, Chevy will be gone out of my life forever. I paid my share of those whiney Union pricks that stole from their investors. Stick a fork in me, I'm done.
