My fiance' gave me a call yesterday to tell me that she had just won us a trip to Mexico. We are trying to decide where in Mexico to go and narrowed it down to either Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. Anyone have any input on which one would be nicer and have fun excursions to do?
Thanks,
Clark
Try Albertville Alabama...:D But on a more serious note heard on the news not long ago that cancun was a dangerous place. They were advise,n spring breakers not to travel there.
Puerto Vallarta - Cancun blows - big rip off.
PV lot more fun - safer.
Would rather go to Baja.
Crappie fishing is my lighthouse of sanity in an insane world,
It keeps me from crashing on the rocky shores of everyday life.

I've been to both. And if I had to choose I'd go back to Puerto Vallarta. It's really according to what you want to do. If you are into scuba or snorkeling then Cancun would get my vote. The water clarity is unbelievable. Shallow or wall diving they have it all. The diving is good in Puerto Vallarta also, just not as clear water. At least when I have been there. To me Puerto Vallarta is more like old Mexico. Where Cancun is a tourist trap. ( all though a very pretty one) Cancun also has the Mayan ruins (Chichen Itza) that are definitely worth visiting.
Puerto Vallarta is surrounded by mountains where Cancun is flat. I've been to Cancun 5 times and Puerto Vallarta once. So if it was me I would be heading to the west coast.
Yeah it was a bridal show, but it's perfectly safe to my understanding. I have several friends who won them. I'm pretty sure both are awesome places, we are looking to do lots because we're busy bodies so Cancun it is. A few guys I work with recommended Cancun as well hands down. Thanks for the info!

I saw on CNN late last week on of them places have there beaches closed.
Got caught hauling sand in, I think.
cork'n crappie
Yeah I saw that. Actually what happened is one resort got caught for stealing sand from another beach funny enough. Definitley another world over there. We won't be going until next year but we are booking a flight in advance so I'm sure things will be worked out by then.
