Mine is the Weber Preformer. I have tried gas ones from $50-$1200, and theres no comparison. I've only had it a few months, and I can't imagine usin anything else. It has a small propane tank you use to light the charcoal, so don't get the fuel taste, an will have the coals red hot in just a couple of minutes, an ash cleaner/vent in the bottom, an a vent on the top, and it's unreal how easy you can regulate the temp with these vents. It's not the cheapest charcoal grill you'll find, but after burning burgers, chops, & ribeyes for years with gas ones that ya can't get shut down, it's worth every penny in my book !http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/u...7-15-09028.jpg

I use the $30 one from Wal Mart. It's not the grill, it's what goes in it and on it.
I got tired of replacing grills every 18 months (I grill A LOT !)...
Finally bit the bullet and bought a Stainless (top to bottom). I bought it at Sam's. (Members Mark) It has built in gas oven, built in Rotisserie, searing section and all the bells and whistles.. I've had it for 3 years now and it's as good as new.. I love it.
I have a 20 year old Weder and a gas grill. I never use the gas grill, it's like cooking on the stove just outside. I don't even know if the gas grill has gas.
I also dont have girlscout water taste. I use a charcoal chimney. It takes 1 1/2 sheets of newspaper to start the coals and 15 minutes later your grilling. I grill everything from hotdogs/ hamburgers to steaks/salmon.

I've been a Weber grill fan for many years. Currently using a small one, think its called "Smoking Joe" or something like that. Well made grills, easy to use, and dependable right out of the box. I also use a chimney charcoal starter.
No bells, no whistles, just dependable each time and easy to keep clean.![]()
Never, never attempt to dry out shad in a $1000 Maytag convection oven......... never!

"You don't know nothin'."
Been using the Brinkman All in one for at least 11 years. On my second one now and still love it. It can grill, smoke and if you take the upper 2/3 off, you can use it for a deep fryer, boil shrimp/dads or crabs....you name it, this thing does it all. You can pick them up on sale less than a hundred bucks. Only problem I have is burning out the coal pan every 2 or 3 years. Get a new on UPS in about 3 days. Carried it all over the country too. From the Keys to Anchorage, Maine to Palm Springs. Shore have showed a lot of people how to slow cook with it too.
