Default Any NC Oldtimers Remember These?

I ran across these plundering in one of my buildings yesterday. Any of you guys remember these. There were made in Greensboro in a plant on Wendover Ave for years. I remember going over there as a teenager and buying these factory direct for .35 cents each. They were called the "Little Skunk" and the "Polecat" made by Tar Heels for You-All to Fish with. The manufacturer was Lisk Fly Mfg. Co Greensboro, NC. The older I get the more I think about the "good old days".

I remember them well. They had a manufacturing plant/warehouse on cedar st, just off west lee. I was just a kid and delivered newspapers to them. They was always giving me samples and I would resell em. They sure worked great on sunfish and little bass. Then they went into plastics and made a lizard bait called the Bellmander. I musta caught 300 bass on them things. Thats been many many years ago, and youre right, they were the good ol days.

PopPop, I remember these lures. When I worked at Lanier's Hardware years ago in the sporting goods dept. I stocked these. I bought them from an old gentleman by the name of Oscar Powell. He was the heart and soul of a company in Greensboro called Show-Tags that was a distributor for Lisk. I am glad you brought up this topic. It brings back fond memories of Mr. Powell. He is gone to the big tackle shop in the sky, but I will never forget him.
    Thanks PopPop.

I was thinking when I saw this post Spartan Express had some Lisk lures so I stopped by there today. They didn't have the Little Skunk but did have a Bendix Spoon. It says the company is now located in Norwood, NC. at 648 Pee Dee Ave. Phone # 704-474-7154. They might can tell you where to find them near you.
