    Default MIL 10th - 11th

Skunked both days. Tried for crappie Sat, faught waves and wind. Managed to pull up what appeared to be a Christmas Tree under the 16 bridge; I knew the anchors didn't weight that much.

Went to the dam on Sunday, finder was marking a bunch of fish but I didn't catch one.

Are most transducers mounted flush with the bottom of the hull or should they hang below a bit?

    Thanks

I have always mounted mine slightly below.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I use to think the depth finders were lying until I fish with a man who knew how to fish. This guy about the best jig fisherman ever fish with. He would catch 10 to my 1. He could catchem on the fall where I had to feel the bump. So if the finder is showing fish, they are most likely there. ------I think slightly below flush is what you want.

Flush or slightly recessed is best, it helps protect the transducer somewhat if you hit something in the water at the mounting location.
