met David and Austin at the ramp about 9am and rode the creek i hit em Friday.....dead sea. hit another creek.....dead sea.....moved elsewhere, dead sea, so finally hit a go to spot and started fishing. by this time it was near noon and spent all that time riding around!! picked up 1 within the first 30 minutes, then it went quiet.....and even more quiet. then finally found em biting near 3:00...and it was pretty steady. 4 times we had the opportunity for a Norman double, but only once we landed both
the fish in this hole were BIG!! this is the place i fished last year during a tournament and did quite well.....we ended with 10, not a single one under 22 inches, and had 4 fish between 26-27 1/2 inches!! wish i catch em like that in 2 weeks![]()

Good Job Pete. You seem to know Norman really well. Wish you well with the tournament. I hear there will 2 clubs having tournaments that day. Could be a tough one, but I got a feeling you will do well. I need to spend more time on LKN this time of the year and learn more on catching stripes during the cold weather/water.

good job pete...
Pete enjoyed another nice cloudy,,damp,,cool n calm day on the water and austin did his trash talkn on the way home as predicted..I,m grinnin ear to ear on the inside//lol...i,m glad u have patience and persistance cause we coulda easily gave up and went home with 1 fish after 4 hrs,,,but that magic phone call put us on em,,on that magic go to spot..thats a long boat ride up past long isl...thx again...
poorman no doubt Norman is a HARD lake to striper catch on. i tell several people that if you can figure Norman out, then you can practically fish any lake and catch striper. but like anything else, you have to put your time in. also Wind direction plays a BIG part on where the fish will be and bite!
if you got any questions feel free to shoot me a PM. im always willing to give info if i get info in return
most of these fish were caught 25-40 ft deep over 40-50 ft of water...water temp was for the most part 49/50.

thats right persistance pays off again! you figured me out tho...i have that crystal ball in the boat that when things get slow i rub and say 'oh magic crystal ball were art tho" and i get pointed in the right direction :D thats why my boat has never seen a skunk to date! ill give some credit to the phone calls i get from certain people that make the fish bite!
glad you and austin enjoyed yet another cool damp day...i know the boat ride out was long and cold:D but after a good evening of catching, it dont feel so cold on the way in. Austin is one heck of a fisherman there and bout as good as anyone ive seeen fighting one in! some on that light 8 lb line!

What's funny is that those fish aren't in more hot hole effected waters. I rode around Norman today on the lowere end with my mom and stepdad in their toon and the water down there is close to 60 degrees. I might have to ease my way over to Norman here soon. I only got one striper at Badin Sat. and it was barely a keeper that I threw back.
Way to go Pete, you da man!!! Thanks for sharing the report and pictures.
HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD
I saw anywhere from 46 to 53* the other day
