Nothing can be finer in Carolina than a calm, sunny January day on Jordan Lake. We didn't find the fish until after lunch, but then the fun was on. My stepson is in the picture with one fish that was 14" and the other one 14.5". It's too bad I have to go back to work Monday--would love to be back on the lake.

PS Got enough to have the in-laws over after church tomorrow for a fish fry. My Christmas present this year was a side burner for our Wilimington gas grill. Now I have enough fish to try it out and invite the relatives.![]()
Nice looking catch there! Must have started the day after all that fog lifted. I could hardly see the lake when I passed over it this morning about 6am.
Good luck on your fish fry; bet they'll be some tasty nuggets![]()
"Be Ye Fishers of Men" You catch them- He will clean them
How many keepers did you guys get. I fished most of the day and caught about 40 or so..... but only eight keeprs.
15 keepers. If I had found the fish earlier in the day, it would have been better. I fish with minnows on a rig with a two-hook setup and twice had doubles on. Sadly, only 1 of the 4 were keepers.
I moved around several times and the small ones were a pest at times. When we caught the larger ones, the bite was a lot slower, but obviously the fish were a much better size. It was around 2:00 in the afternoon when we found the larger fish and we still moved around some. It was my first time fishing this part of the lake this year and now I know where I would like to anchor and stay a few hours.
Good Job! That morning fog was something huh?
Nice catch and a Pack fan to boot! Way to go guys. I hope you enjoyed the fillets.
