Thread: Norman 1-2

hit norman this morning/afternoon. hit the lake at approx 9:30, and rode up, rode down, and rode all around and couldnt find anything worth fishing! then i moved up a creek and low and behold i hit the motherload, they just wernt hittin fast and furious. started fishing at about 11, and fished the same creeek up til dark. dont have a final tally of however many i caught, but id guess about a dozen. not a single fish was under 22 inches! ended up only keeping 3 for the grill. water temp was a bone cold 46.5 degrees!! i dont like fishing cold water like that, but that was where i saw the only good marks on the lake! a few other boats out there, and i didnt see anyone really hooking up with any

was greeted at the ramp by the gamewarden himself...got checked and everything was good to go. fisrt time i saw the warden on the lake in a long time! after talking to him, he said it was a very slow day for those he checked

Nice job pete,,did you find em in the area where we got em or did u fish a different area..was gonna get pops boat and go sun but lookn like rain..may be a day to watch playoff games

it was dead from there all the way up and down a few miles surprisingly!

i marked fish at the mouth of mccrary creek, and i marked a good few from #17 all the way up and around midway marina, but definatly found much more in the creeks uplake.

The crappie fishing was slow, yesterday, for us. Fishing docks with jigs. Left at 3:30 pm, didn't see the game warden. Froze to death, man it was cold out there yesterday morning! 10 crappie and 1 bass.

Fished yesterday by myself....fished a couple places from 7 to 13....deep to shallow and only caught 2 crappies and a bass.........didnt run as much as I would. left some good places unfished due to it feeling nice a warm at day break and colder during the day......i said hell with it and went home instead of hitting those places
