In the past 4 month my Fishfinder/GPS has been at lowrance more than its been on the boat. The GPS quit working so I sent it back,six weeks later it come back with a new antenna and second trip it didnt work so back it goes. now they say they cant find it and cant give me any info on it.UPS delivered early dec. and I,m missing a lot of good fishing waiting. Does anyone have the number for the local rep.? maybe he can help.

I normally don't post on here though I've been a member for several years but this topic is a sore spot with me.
For what it's worth I think Lowrance/Eagle products are crappy (no pun intended). I've made the switch to Hummingbird and could not be more pleased with the
797c I'm using now. I got rid of my Eagle DF480, my
H2Oc and MapCreate because of Lowrance's poor quality and lousy customer service and won't even consider buying anymore of their products......![]()
I had the same problem with Lowrance 520C last year as well. Now it seems to be losing detail and the bottom even in deep water after this last software update. I would much rather be fishing than constantly diagnosing electronics problems. I was impressed with the way that the new HDS units look but I'm hesitant to spend the money for equipment that may be full of bugs. I'm seriously considering a Humminbird unit now.
I also had a delivery problem with UPS on the same unit. The unit was shipped to me and with I called the business to inquire what happened to my order, they said that it had been shipped and delivered. No one at my house had ever signed for the package and when I called UPS they had the nerve to ask me if I had checked with all of my neighbors and in the bushes in front of my house. If you haven't asked yet, I would find out who signed for the package and go from there.

The unit I have is the LCX28HDc with the hard drive in it. I noticed they dont offer a unit this year with a hard drive. When the thing works I love it,it just dont work much anymore. I'm going to call monday and see if she can help.

Its really odd that some folks can use Eagle/Lowrance and have no problems. I had a 480/GPS unit that started blinking. The warranty was out by two months when it went bad. Called them up and they replaced the unit with no hassle. Not recommending them but the right person on the end of the line makes a lot of difference in their customer service. To bad their units seem to pop up here more often than not giving trouble......iamfishing.
