Got on the water before daylight. Went about 300 yards from boat landing and the screen was full of bait and fish.
after fishing 5 minutes, caught 3 fish, 21 inchers normal norman fish. Then it rained for about 45 minutes
Went up around the state park and marked alot fish but none would bite. 3 was all that was caught , took boat out about 11:45am

Been doing alot of reading bout them linesiders and just my opinion is with the water temp. I think the bite may be better in 51-53F temps. It may just be with salty's but my 2 cents worth. What do you guys think?
this is bobs bait i look for water 45 to 55 with bait but this year has not been on like others
i normally look for 51-54, but today was a different story.....dont think ive ever fished 46 degree water and had much luck![]()

I've caught 'emin 40 degree water before, but that was once. I did get 8 over ten pounds though schooling. That was on Tillery. Those fish felt half frozen when I got 'em in the boat. That is cold, but they still got toe eat I guess.
last year there was a 2 week period where people were wearin out the striper on Mt. island.......water temp was 42![]()
