    Default Flat River

Thanks for the info about Jordan Lake.. Sounded like things were slow there so I went over to the Eno River. The Eno looked muddy so I went up in the Flat River... I was fishing near the second bend (I think) and the bite was pretty good till about 10am and then they quit. Fish were right on the bottom and faily close to the bank. Not much after 10am though just one "here and there". Pulled out of the water at noon because I needed to watch my Daughter this afternoon.

When I got home it seemed like a nice warm day out that I picked up my Daughter and headed back to the river. This time on Herbs advise (Thanks Herb! it was nice to meet you!) went Further up in the Flat from where I was this morning. Cought some more up there... Not fast and Furious but steady..Overall for the day the fish caught were about 50:50 Jig (Chartruce/Orange Skirt) and minnows

Oh! I caught quite a bit of White Bass too

    Happy New Year Everyone!

Glad to see you got into some and that you took that girl with. You gonna make a fisherwoman out of her. I got out sat and sun and didnt do too much. They do seem to be schooling up some but the bite is slow still.

I went up the Flat a ways around Thanksgiving and could not find any fish. I kept wondering if I should keep on going as far as I can and work back. Have you guys ever tried that before? I probably need to just ride up it one day and see how far I can go. I understand it starts at Lake Michie and that is one of the reasons the water is almost always clear.

I have met some fisherman that shore fish somewhere up near the bridge just down from the Mitchie dam and they say that they do well there with crappie and white bass. Just what I have heard. Dont know first hand.
