Default thanks pete and rookie12 for badin help

just wanted to say thanks for the help you and others on crappie.com give about badin. i have never seen or fished the lake before this morning, and the help yall gave helped me win a tourney on the lake:D i was alone so i had to turn a 25lb blue loose because you can only have one over 32"per person, but i managed to catch another around 26lb to add to my total and do some culling all in all a great day, caught around 20 arkansas and about 10 bull heads. again thanks it just goes to show what kind of people we have on our boards. all fish were released to fight another day

    Default congrats on the win!!!

I figured you were fishing that tournament today. I'm glad you won it, but I heard where you were at and I am going to need a cut of that check, b/c you was on my honey hole.....j/k!!! How deep were those fish and what did they hit. I had another buddy of mine in the tourney, but he struggled today. Congrats on the win. I've fished tournaments for three years and haven't won one yet.

had bluebacks but the only thing that wanted them was bull heads so i used some white perch i had froze from some night trips in the fall and the blues loved them, i was running the old river up stream in about 100' of water when i moved side to side i noticed that the bait was stacked on the edges of the old river from 45-65'so i just found a nice flat around the edges of the channell and let em fly . the first big blue (25+lb) came in about 50' of water while anchored as well as a boat load of 1-5 lb blues . that lasted till about noon then i just cruised around the islands looking for the bait again , this time it was not as balled up so i drifted through the areas that had good arches and before i could get all the rods out i had a blue on that was a 26lb,so the 25 went back caught several more little fish but no good keepers after that so i had to weigh the 26 and a little 6lb fish but it got the job done. again thanks
