    Default Eno River 11/2

My Parents are in town for a visit so I was able to take my Dad out on the river this morning. We set up around the 90 degree bend after the first powerlines and worked out way between there and roughly the second set of lines. We ended up with 17 crappie that were from 10" to 13" I was plesently surprised at that becasue I was expectin alot of the smaller 8" fish. We did get a bunch of them too but we had a good mess in the basket. The fish were caught from 8-12 feet deep. (I forgot to take notice of the water temp.) Wind was blowing us upstream. Most of them were caught on minnows and a few were caught on the chartruce and orange tail Jig.. Not a nite on any other color.

CrappieKrazy and Whompus Cat Good seeing you guys again
Hope eveyone has a good Sunday Afternoon

nice to see you again redboat... I'm glad you and your father had a good time. Ended up keeping 13 fish. Lots of small fish between 9-10" but fun none the less. Biggest fish was around 13" The fellow at the bait store wasn't there so I was praying that the fish would hit the jigs. And they did. Seemed like the roadrunner w/ acid rain and john deere worked the best.

I'd like to add a little something to your report for sunday. I have fished the Eno a good bit. this is the first time i've seen the crappie biting with a vengence. Thats the hardest i've ever seen them hit a bait. most the time it's hard to tell if they are even on the line. we went home with about 24 nice ones and my son lost a whopper on sunday. tight lines

Thanks for the kind words! Dad liked the trip on the river, very impressed with how pretty much everyone slowed way down and waved and/or said hello as they passed.

Sea-sons, we were kinda using both the trolling motor and letting the boat drift in the wind.
