    Default lake james report

Finally went back to James to search for deep fish & brushpiles.
Had a decent day, great weather & no wind. Found 7 or 8 brushpiles in 20 to 30 feet of water. Caught 14 crappie over 10", a bunch of coontails, one almost 2lbs., biggest I've ever seen, & Skeeterdude caught a 3lb largemouth that was a blast on 4pound test & 5' ultralight ugly stick.
Great day on the water with my little fisherman. Some on minnows, some on
Kailens tri-color curly tail yellow/white/orange jig.

Crowder - Havn't been on a nightstalk last 3 weeks, cant offer any advice.
Let us know how you did. The James trip was just a spur of the moment. Had not been on James since July & had not seen a post in months, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Glad I went, had a really good time & convinced Skeeterdude its really not the dead sea.

Sorry Shadow, I'm strictly a Crappie man. Live in Morganton, spend most of my time on Rhodhiss, with an occasional trip to James or High Rock. I love living in Gods country (WESTERN NC), but if I lived any closer to High Rock, I'd be divorced, fired, broke, & happily fishing every day ! I hope all you High Rock guys know how blessed you are to have a fishery like that !
