o.k. fellas, here goes. first part of the trip weather was nasty, very high winds and cold. caught fish like crazy. inlet fishing ,spots galore ,too rough out at the jetties for sheepshead and trout .3-4ft. waves in the inlet!! pier fishing, caught every thing from trout to big whiting ,to big red drum, and shark. wind was 20-30mph. in your face. had to use 5oz. weight just to stay out.surf was awesome too. lots of drum, reds and blacks. even caught a nice flounder out of the surf. blues and whiting.rain came in friday and temps rose and shut most of the bite down.calmed way down sat wind , waves , and the fish.ate a bunch of fish down there and brought a bunch home. got a few pics ,but i would of liked to have taken more, but sometimes i get to excited and forget about it. :D
Remember, throw'em back unless ITZAKEEPER ....
nice mess right there....i dont care what anyone says, but em whiting are tasty, and not to mention those grays! looks like ya had a blast despite the weather!
if at first you dont succeed............drink another beer
Gotta go.......FISH ON !!
I only fish on days that end in"Y"
Ya'll slaughter the fish no matter where you go.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
Yep...did better than I did. Minnowboy and I entered Surf Fishing Tournament at Carolina Beach midnite Friday through Sunday noon. Piers were packed but we weren't allowed within 100 yds. We caught flounder (just like crappie...14-1/2"), blues, and black drum. Matter of fact Minnowboy won the black drum division with a 3.3 lb bdrum. Paid for expenses for both of us plus a little extra. Dang that storm Friday nite was tough. We couldn't get 8 oz to sit still.
Keeper...I thought ya'll were just crappie pros...looks like if its a fish its in trouble if you are around. Great report thanks for sharing.
Those grays look REAL good! Great Catch!

after two days of being home I can still hear those 30 to 40 mph winds blowing, yea pete those whitings are great table fair, fried up a mess friday night waiting on the storm to pass. if anybody goes down to murrells inlet anytime soon, keeper threw one of our anchors in and forgot to grab the rope!
Makes you want to go back........
