    Default Norman 10-24 striper

alarm went off at 315, and on the water shortly after 400. amazing how easy it is to wake up to go fishing, but when that alarm rings to go to work i struggle!!

mission today was to net bait. had no shinners so bait was a must. threw and threw in many places with no luck. had a hard time finding it. when we were about to loose hope, i found em off of a dock in 18 ft of water. not a lot, but enough to fish with. some BIG threadfin for norman standards.

was able to net 5-6 doz and put em in the grayline :D

started fishing at sunup uplake. were picking up fish pretty steady. we did have 1 double header. final tally was 7 striper between 21-23ish inches, 2 crappie, and 3 perch. all fish caught on shad. couldnt quite get that last keeper to bite. dont think we missed/lost any fish that i can remember. marked bait/fish out the wazzu, just wasnt fast paced. after about 9:00 we couldnt buy a bite!

had boat on tralier at 11:30 just as the sky opened up. feels nice to be after the striper again!

    water temp 66-68

most fish caught on dowlines 15-25 ft deep over 35-50 ft of water

wow good day! Sounds like a lot of fun... Just curious as to what kind of rig do you use to troll live baits that deep? Also, do you ever do any striper fishing on Jordan? I would'nt mind giving it a shot one day.

and as for the Panthers, I've vowed not to watch another game until they win 3 in a row. (this was after their loss to tampa) I am sick of their inconsistency. Don't get me wrong, I am a die hard panthers fan, but I'm tired of missing out on fishing to watch them play like a bunch of mickey mouse league players. Who am I kidding, I'll have the game recording sunday while breaking some necks on Jordan.
