Thread: Fishn next week

Off next week and plannin on huntn once,,then wylie for some slabs,,and hopin if you Pete or anyone else knows if stripers are on top on Norman or Wateree cause if so,,may have to let son play hookie from school--he has caught some on down rods but weve never seen em school and he is itchn try a spook i bought him..Any help would b great..I can remember my dad keepn me out of school n going,,even pull into school with the boat and tell the office i had dentist apt...Thanks again David

striper really dont school too much up top this time of year on Norman. hell they hardly even really schoool much. have run into a few here and there, but its always the last 30 minutes of daylight.

throwin the spook is good in the spring. what you need to throw is spoons and lil fishy's :D

Them Norman stripers tend to school best from May to June on top of the water like you are talking. Donwrods are the ticket right now. I've heard of way too many fish being caught 20-30 ft. down. I know there has been some spotty topwater action at Badin in the evenings, but it's nothing to count on. November is when it will get right. 60-65 degree water and you'll load the boat anyway you want. Good luck!

Water was already down to 67 at High Rock last week.

December is a HOT month for schooling action on norman. anytime we get a warm snap in december, they WILL bust on top on my little secret East bank! :D

HD3.....pick a time you want to fish/type of fish you want to target. pm me the time/date that you want to go. if our schedules line up, and weather is ok, we'll give it a try!
