I just got my hands on 350 pounds of soft lead. This is mostly roofing sheets, all for $100.00. Was this a good deal? The way I figure it, I use mostly 1/32 jigs, that would let me pour 179,200 jigs give a take a few. That is enough to last for a while I expect.
that might last me for one season Pop. sounds like a great deal though
Gilby aka Bill :D

pete...probably 300 lbs is tear offs from old buildings....got one five gallon bucket full of brand new lead taps..
poppop, I read a thread on C.com at some point that discussed the quality of lead. To sum it up, the faster your lead oxidizes, the purer it is, in contrast to it staying shiny. Although it doesn't matter much for a 1/32oz jig, lead is considerably denser when pure. Interesting thread.
I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could
PS...350lbs...that's so cool! how big is that chunk?

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
