Thread: Jardan @ 64 Bridge 9/12

First I'll give my Gas Station Report... At the Exon at the 55/64 intersection the price was 3.769. As I headed west on 64 the Citgo on the right side ws at 4.269 and the Exon at 64 & Ferrington Road was 3.889 (the other one was closed). At the last one a lady came out and told me I could not put gas in my boat becauae they were conserving. They said they were about to run out.... All I have to say is I am glad I filed up in the morning. I think I am sitting here beside my self about this..

Anyway, we launched at the Ebeneezer ramp and had no problems on the water. The Lake of course is high but we encountered no debree at all. We set up under the bridge.. The moon was out and pretty bright and for us the bite was slow and scattered. Ended up with 7 nice fish caught between 8 and 20 feet.

Siler City, Cary several gas stations are out.
In Swansboro, NC they have 10 gallon limits

Most places around here is also a voluntary 10 gallon limit with no enforcement.

So I see you did make it out last week. Boy you must be doing something good around the house for your wife to give you the pass AGAIN.. Maybe the bright moon and high water combo messed things up a bit.

hey redboat how do those rod holders work i am looking at getting some any drawbacks on them

Buzzy, its gone..must be becaue it was a report about fresh water fish

dedawg those holders are actually the $3.99 clamp on rodholders from walmart.. I modified them To bolt on.. The only thing I would change with that setup is the bar that those holders are mounted to becaue there is a little flex at the ends.. Other wise it has worked pretty good so far. Here is pic of them in the daylight:
