Thread: ENO river True or False

Just pulled this off the nc waterman web site..

Had my 1st Guide trip today,and was not really ready for what i got.Really thought it was way to early still.but not today.KILLED THEM.3 guys over 150
keepers.those guys got there moneys worth.well that was my day on the Eno River.water was still fast but so was the bite.ran out of live bait 3 hours into it,the rest was on jig bodys on a gold hook.

Sounds like Herb is alive and well, and still the same. Just my opinion but it seems still to early until water temps come down. I know the higher water this season will bring them in a little earlier and no doubt little ones in there now. Middle of October should start the bigger bites, at least upriver. Looking forward to it/

We have all fished the Eno when the water is rolling after a storm but the river crested on tues after saturdays tropical storm and I heard the Falls/Eno and Jordan were several feet over the banks. Now that people are paying for guided trips maybe a digital camera is in the forecast. I sure would love to see some of those those 3 pounders caught every weekend.
