I met up with a buddy of mine and my 6th sense was screaming at me to head down to the dam. We head down and set up and the phone rings.. it's Netservice. I tell him where we are and he heads down too. Fishing was on the slow side unfortunately. I think the fact that T.S. Hanna was on the way had the berometer all messed up.![]()
About 10:30ish I had enough of the Dam so we all headed down to the 98 bridge and finished out the night. Netservice gave me his fish and the total between both of us for the night was 9 fish.
I hope everyone faired ok in the storm. I think we had about 5 inches of rain here.
better luck next time...

Yup! We did have a good time for sure and I always enjoy the fellowship on the water.. I was just saying the bite was slow.. I was acutally thinking that it would have been pretty good ahead of the storm but when we were at the bridge I noticed that the water was actually flowing away from the dam. I guess the air pressure was pushing it towards the other end of the lake.. Must have really messed the fish up.
I was wondering why they were not letting water out of Falls then I heard yesterday they the Neuse was already above food stage down by Smithsfield and it is not going to crest until Tuesday.. I bet once the river settles down they will open the dam up.
