I am moving to the Huntersville area from Virginia. I would appreciate any information I can get concerning the crappie fishing in the area??

I mainly fish a jig tipped with a minnow, what kind of structure do you all fish.

I've read some of the posts on this forum sounds like there are some people who don't want you near their piers??

I have a 9.9 motor so I can't go very far on Norman. My local area in Norfolk and Suffolk only allow a motor 10 hp max. They are small water supply lakes I hate to leave the fishing here it is pretty good.

    Thanks again for any help.

Welcome Joe. I Don't Fish Norman But Several Of The Folks Do Here. They Will Chime In And Steer You In The Right Direction. Don't Worry About The Pier Owners, We Got Our Share Of A-holes. Most Folks Just Say Howdy And Ask You If Your Catching Any. My Take On The Subject, If Ya Can't Cast Without Hitting Their Stuff, Stay Home And Practice A Bit. Then Give It Another Shot.

welcome.....Lake norman is a HARD lake to learn to say the least, especially the South end. the good thing about norman tho is that it has a variety of fish you can go after unlike most. practically living in huntersville myself, i spend more time crappie fishing on the Northern end of norman (mooresville) i will probably be making my first trip in a while there Sunday or Monday night.
if at first you dont succeed............drink another beer
    Gotta go.......FISH ON !!
I only fish on days that end in"Y"
